UNK Spring Concert to Feature A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie

One of hip-hop’s biggest names is coming to the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

KEARNEY – One of hip-hop’s biggest names is coming to the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

A Boogie Wit da Hoodie will headline UNK’s Spring Concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 29, at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds.

The concert is organized and presented by UNK’s Loper Programming and Activities Council and open to the public.

Tickets are free for UNK students, faculty and staff, limited to one per person. A valid UNK email address must be used at the time of purchase to receive the free ticket. An online presale for the campus community begins at 10 a.m. Wednesday (March 18) at etix.com.

Tickets for the public go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday (March 20) and are $35 plus fees..

A Boogie Wit da Hoodie recently released the six-track EP “Before Artistry,” featuring collaborations with Kyle Richh, Trippie Redd and Zeddy Will. He is known for blending melodic rap with R&B-influenced hooks and high-energy performances.

The Bronx native broke out with his 2017 debut album, “The Bigger Artist,” powered by the triple-platinum hit “Drowning.”

His 2018 album “Hoodie SZN,” debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. Since then, he has released multiple charting singles, including “Look Back at It,” “Swervin” and “Still Think About You.”

In 2024 he released “Better Off Alone,” which debuted in the top 20 on the Billboard 200 and supported a global tour, reinforcing his status as one of hip-hop’s most in-demand performers.

Popular Nebraska-based DJ Redlocks will open the show. Redlocks is a regular performer at The Royal Grove in Lincoln and has opened for national touring acts such as Steve Aoki, Soulja Boy, Lix Xan and Timmy Trumpet.
