Restitution ordered to Dollar General
Auburn woman says night deposits stolen
AUBURN - Aimee Shipley, 36, of Auburn was fined $1,000 and ordered to pay $7,183 in restitution for attempted theft from May to November of 2024.
A sheriff’s office affidavit says Dollar General reported loss of $140,000 in merchandise over a year’s time.
Shipley was never charged with losses at that level, but an arrest affidavit says Shipley told investigators night deposits had been stolen from her vehicle. The affidavit notes that Shipley paid a $1,500 bond for her boyfriend 17 days before the sheriff’s office was contacted by Dollar General loss prevention about three days’ worth of night deposits missing.
