GRAND ISLAND, Neb. — A Grand Island woman charged with 46 counts of theft has been deemed incompetent for trial again.

According to court documents, Kelli Lepler, 48, appeared in court Tuesday for the court to review her competency to stand trial after being accused of taking payments for headstones and not delivering them through her company Monument Advisors. Of the 46 charges she faces, 39 of them are felonies, including 23 charges of theft by deception of over $5,000.

Lepler has been at the Lincoln Regional Center since January 2025 for treatment to restore competency. She has been found incompetent several times since then.

Lepler is due back in court for a competency review in May.

She was arrested in 2023 after being accused of taking payments for headstones and not delivering them through her company Monument Advisors.
