Sentencing set for Colorado woman for felony child abuse

SIDNEY – Abby Hale, 35, of Granby, Colo., is scheduled for sentencing April 22 in Cheyenne County District Court.  

In January, she agreed to a plea agreement with her entering a No Contest plea to the charge of Class 3 Felony Child Abuse. Other charges were dropped in the plea agreement.  

Hale will be sentenced for up to three years in prison. In addition, she agreed to give up her parental rights to her children.  

According to court records, the incident occurred between March 1 and April 30, 2024 at a Sidney hotel.
