VARO inducts 2026 board
New chapter of leadership
Victim Advocates Reaching Out, or VARO, has officially inducted its 2026 Board of Directors, ushering in a new chapter of leadership for the nonprofit dedicated to supporting victims and survivors across Guam.
Leading the organization as President is Trina San Agustin, a longtime VARO volunteer who has previously served as Vice President, Public Information Officer, and Secretary since joining the organization in 2020.
Serving as Treasurer is Jonathan Mendiola, who brings more than six years of service to the organization.
Tamuning Mayor Louise Rivera will serve as Public Information Officer. Rivera has supported VARO since 2003.
Also stepping into leadership positions are Tina Esteves as Vice President, Verna Zafra-Kasala as Volunteer Support Chair, and Brianna Duenas as Training Chairperson.
