AG announces Redemption Project
“Criminals: Repent, Reform And Respect”
Guam Attorney General Douglas Moylan is introducing a new initiative aimed at giving certain offenders a path toward redemption.
In a release from the Office of the Attorney General titled “Criminals: Repent, Reform And Respect,” Moylan highlighted his office’s recent prosecution record, noting the government has secured 84 jury trial victories over the past three years.
Despite that record, Moylan says he believes in second chances for individuals who demonstrate genuine efforts to change.
The Attorney General’s Office says more details about the program and eligibility requirements will be announced in the near future.
According to the release, defendants will need to meet strict criteria, including performing community service, demonstrating personal reform, and making amends to victims.
