Frances "Franny" Ann (Rhodes) Scott, 86 of Auburn
Frances “Franny” Ann (Rhodes) Scott, 86, formerly of Auburn was born on December 15, 1939, in Auburn, Nebraska to Lester “Buck” and Luella (Osborne) Rhodes. She was raised with her family in Auburn where she received all her schooling. On January 3, 1966, Franny was united in marriage to Michael F. Scott in San Diego, California. Over the years, the couple made their home in San Diego, California, Chicago, Illinois, Olathe, Kansas, and after living in San Diego a second time, retired back to Auburn, Nebraska.
After retiring to Auburn, Franny was a member of the Auburn Eagles Club, Auburn VFW, and she attended church locally. Franny passed away on Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Pleasant View Nursing Home in Rock Port, Missouri having reached the earthly age of 86 years, 2 months, and 7 days. She was preceded in death by her parents, stepfather Ray Criger, husband Michael Scott, brothers Orville “Bus” Rhodes and Dennis Criger, great-nephew Shawn Nowlin, and great-nieces Mandy Bates and Jennifer Rhodes.
Franny is survived by her daughter Lodene Kaufman and husband Ross of Filley, NE; grandchildren: Amber Legband of Utica, NE; Nickole Engler and husband Travis of Panama, NE; great-grandchildren: Brecken Grady of Omaha, Aina and Corbin Legband of Utica, NE; Kadence and Kinsley Engler of Panama, NE; sister-in-law Georgia Criger of Rock Port, MO; nieces: Candy Lynam and husband Phil of Oklahoma City, OK; Linda Smith and husband Dale of Oklahoma City, OK; Jane Nowlin and husband George of Oklahoma City, OK; Jennifer Nichols of Auburn, NE; Candy Jennings and husband Kurt of Rocky Point, NC; nephews: Clint Criger and fiancé Sue of Rock Port, MO; Mickey Rhodes and wife Darlene of Oklahoma City, OK; Mike Rhodes of Oklahoma City, OK; and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2026, at the Hall Funeral Chapel, 707 15th Street in Auburn with Pastor Nate officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Interment will be at the Sheridan Cemetery in Auburn.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
