The Notice of the 2026 Primary Elections in Kimball County has been released.

"Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 12th day of May, 2026, a Primary Election will be held in Kimball County, Nebraska, at the following polling places: FIRST WARD, SECOND WARD, & ANTELOPE-Kimball Event Center, 615 East 3rd Street, Kimball; BUSHNELL-Bushnell Fire Hall, Bushnell; DIX-Dix Fire Hall, Dix.

The polls shall open at 7:00 a.m. and remain open until 7:00 p.m. the same day.

In compliance with Section 32-811 Election Laws of Nebraska, in those cases where the names of candidates filed do not exceed two candidates for each vacancy to be filled, all so filed shall be declared nominated and their names shall not appear on any primary election ballot. Therefore, the candidates of the County Offices of Assessor, Attorney, Sheriff, Surveyor and Treasurer, Western Community College District 2. South Platte NRD Sub-District 1, South Platte NRD Sub-District 2, Kimball School District 1, Potter-Dix School District 9, City of Kimball Mayor, and City of Kimball Airport Authority shall receive a certificate of nomination and the candidates shall have their names placed on the November 3, 2026, General Election Ballot." the document explains before listing all the candidates you will see on your Kimball County primary ballot.
