New chapter chief selected after retirement of Chita Blaise
The American Red Cross Pacific Islands Region has named Ken Quintanilla as the new executive director of the Guam Chapter. A familiar face in the community, Quintanilla brings more than 17 years of experience in communications, public service and community engagement across media, government and the private sector.
Born and raised on Guam, he began his career at KUAM News before serving in key roles at DOCOMO PACIFIC, the Lieutenant Governor’s Office and Bank of Guam. As executive director, Quintanilla will lead efforts to strengthen partnerships, expand volunteer engagement and enhance disaster preparedness and response across the island. He will also oversee fundraising and work closely with community leaders to support the Red Cross mission.
“I’m truly humbled to serve Guam through the American Red Cross,” Quintanilla said. “I’m honored to carry forward the legacy while bringing renewed energy to ensure families are prepared, supported and cared for when they need us most.”
The Red Cross Guam Chapter has served the island for 109 years, providing critical support during disasters, emergencies and times of need.
