Firefighter support dinner Friday in Bridgeport

A Morrill County wide event supporting firefighters is planned for Friday in Bridgeport. 

The public is invited to a soup supper and desserts event 5:30 p.m. at the Prairie Winds Community Center. 

Donations will be accepted in support of local fire departments. 

Firefighters are battling a grass fire that started Thursday near Angora when a power pole was blown over in high winds. As of Monday, the fire had consumed almost 573,000 acres.
