Peter Leon Guerrero reemployed with the Guam Police Department

A former Guam Police Department officer, Peter Jesse Leon Guerrero, who was terminated following an aggravated assault incident at a Tumon beach in the summer of 2023 is now back on the force. 

According to defense attorney Mike Phillips, the Attorney General’s Office dropped the initial criminal case against Officer Leon Guerrero. Following the dismissal in court, the parties reached a settlement agreement that included reinstatement and back pay.

KUAM News confirms the officer’s reemployment with the Guam Police Department became effective March 9.

Leon Guerrero was originally terminated in October 2023.
