BEATRICE, Neb. - The season has come to an end for Beatrice Lady Orange basketball.
Beatrice fell to Pius 38-24 in round one of the state tournament Thursday night as the Thunderbolts defense made life hard on the Lady O who shot just 20% in the loss. Beatrice was led in scoring by Sophie Gleason with nine, followed by Callie Schwisow with eight and freshman Miley Loomis added seven points.
Beatrice never led in a wire to wire win for the Thunderbolts.
With the loss, Beatrice ends their season at 18-7, as Pius will face Bennington in the semifinal.
