Push for more Korea flights
The Leon Guerrero–Tenorio Administration is advocating for stronger air connectivity between Guam and South Korea, reaching out to the Korean Government for support in expanding and revitalizing direct air service between the two destinations.
In a letter to South Korean president Lee Jae-Myung, Guam leaders emphasized that Korean visitors have long enjoyed the island’s hospitality and that stronger air links are essential to sustaining Guam’s tourism-driven economy.
Korea continues to be Guam’s largest visitor market. In 2025, the island welcomed 380,918 visitors from South Korea. December alone saw 51,828 arrivals, marking a 42 percent increase year over year and one of Guam’s strongest December visitor totals since 2019.
Early 2026 numbers also remain strong, with 33,665 Korean travelers visiting Guam in January.
Officials say strengthening air service will help build on the momentum as government agencies, the Guam Visitors Bureau, and industry partners continue working to promote Guam as a preferred destination for Korean travelers.
