KIMBALL -- After almost three years at the Kimball Police Department, Sergeant Jose Barboza is resigning, effective March 22.
Barboza has spent the past month as Interim Police Chief following the resignation of former Police Chief Jose Ruiz.
Barboza said in his resignation letter: “I am grateful for the opportunity to have served the City of Kimball and the members of the Kimball Police Department. It has been an honor to work alongside dedicated officers and staff in service to the community.”
The Kimball City Council postponed the approval of his resignation Tuesday evening and will add it to the agenda for the next meeting scheduled for March 17.
