James "Jamie" Moore
James "Jamie" Moore
James Riley Moore, known to friends and family as Jamie, left this Earth on Thursday, February 26, 2026. Jamie was born in Beatrice and lived the majority of his life in Wymore. Jamie’s love of music started at an early age, teaching himself how to play the guitar. Playing his electric guitars became a life-long love. Jamie went on to pursue his love of music while majoring in Broadcast Journalism at UNL and Northwest Missouri State University. Jamie was stubborn and outspoken at times. These traits served him well as he fought cancer. He refused to give up and surprised everyone, especially his doctors. Jamie loved shooting his air guns, always wishing he could attend a competition. He loved mowing with the John Deere, cutting wood and spending time with his sidekick cat, Simon, who loved to be wherever Jamie was. Jamie never gave up hope. He seemed fearless in the face of adversity. Jamie’s strength was a testament to the words of Maya Angelou, ”Hope and fear cannot occupy the same space”.
James is survived by his mother, Verna Moore, and his siblings; Kalynne Breunsbach and husband Brad of Wymore, Cindy Haden and husband Jay of Lincoln, and Kendall Moore of Tempe, Arizona; nieces, Alison Simonson and fiancée Richard Wilson of Gretna, Dusty and Ben Herink of Lincoln, Whitney and Brent Cernik of Wahoo, and Mindy and Steve Garcia of Chandler, Arizona; nephews, Jesse Almery and Brittany Micari of Ceresco, and Adam and Jasmine Neumann of Mesa, Arizona and their families; and a host of extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Riley Moore.
A memorial service will be held for James on Friday, March 6, at 10:30am at the Wymore Church of Christ. This will be followed by a committal service at the Wymore Cemetery.
