LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Lincoln Police said two officers were injured while responding to a physical domestic disturbance on Thursday.

Officers were called to an apartment complex on Salt Valley View in south Lincoln around 12:30 a.m.

LPD said officers learned the man inside the apartment, 25-year-old Josh Miller, had a felony cite/lodge broadcast for his arrest from a previous assault.

LPD said Miller refused to comply with the officers’ commands even after being told he was under arrest.

While attempting to enter the apartment, LPD said one officer was pinned in the doorway as Miller tried to push the door shut. The officer reportedly felt pain and discomfort to his upper left torso.

Another officer deployed his taser, and Miller was taken into custody.

A third officer had a scrape on his arm and pain from the incident, LPD said.

Miller was taken to the Lancaster County Jail on suspicion of child abuse, resisting arrest and two counts of third-degree assault on an officer.
