She graduated from Potter High School in 1964 and continued to help on the family farm following graduation. In 1967, she met her husband, Milt Wiegand, and they were united in marriage on February 24, 1968. Together, they built a life centered on faith, family, and community. She had a servant’s heart and devoted much of her time to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church decorating, cleaning, preparing meals, and teaching catechism. Her faith was the foundation of her life. She cherished time spent with friends, sharing laughter that often-brought tears. She loved cooking, gathering with family, and spending time at the lake. She treasured her time with her granddaughter, Chloe, who brought her immense joy.
Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband, Milt of Chappell, NE; her son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Chrissy, of Papillion, NE; her granddaughter, Chloe of Lincoln, NE; her sister, Liz (Van Raay) Whitman of Cheyenne, WY; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louie and Anna; and her brothers; Francis, John, and Louie “Pete”.
